DECOLONIAL TRANSFORMATION
Objectives
Participants are able
• to critically reflect on colonialisation and its effects 
on our societies up until today
• to identify injustices and privileges from a decolonial perspective as well as actions towards decolonial transformation
• to identify and challenge stereotypes and prejudices that we carry
Colonisation has not been overcome yet, and it 
wasn’t only about claiming geographic territory. It 
is still to be found in many spheres of our societies, resulting in attitudes and stereotypes that are 
not helpful for inclusive and sustainable change 
processes.
Decolonial transformation is addressing these 
influences that harm us as individuals as well as 
communities and societies. In this training we will 
apply frameworks and concepts used in decolonial 
work. Participants will be invited to explore ways to 
recognise and transform the dynamics of colonisation at the individual and organisational level and 
how those dynamics relate to the systemic level.
