She has also studied Management of Nonprofit Organizations and worked for 5 years with social and educational projects and institutional development at Faith and Joy Foundation (Fe y Alegría), in Brazil.
On her book "On Human Potential: Peace and Conflict Transformation Fostered Through Dance", Paula explores dance as a tool to foster human potential for peace and conflict transformation through the inner dimensions of creativity, connectivity and responsibility and the outer dimensions of education, communication and international solidarity movements. Her current research is on movement as method to elicit conflict transformation, and she is interested in intersections of peace, conflict, violence, gender, art, culture, and peace education. She also authored chapters on culture of peace for educators and youth, and was a consultant in the X and XI InterAmerican Reports on Human Rights Education. Her latest paper "On Crossroads: Learnings from Modernity, Feminisms, and Transrational Peace" can be found at the Contending Modernities online symposium: https://contendingmodernities.nd.edu/theorizing-modernities/on-crossroads/ .
Paula loves to dance since she was a kid, and also enjoys meditation, encounters, and being out in nature.
