I studied at Bogazici University (BA) and Sabanci University (MA) where my research focused on gender and identity. I provided individual counseling to Syrian and Iraqi refugees in Ankara, Gaziantep, and Mardin as part of the protection projects conducted by the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants (ASAM-SGDD). I am also an artist and use art methods in my works on social cohesion and well-being. I also worked as an assistant for Migration Friendly Cities Project in Coventry (the United Kingdom).
I am a certified Montessori Trainer and have conducted training projects for various groups. My area of specialization includes child and women protection against sexual and gender-based violence, social cohesion, cultural diversity, and ethics and privacy in the workplace.
